I’m a freelance features writer from southern NSW. I love discovering and writing stories about interesting, engaging people and their lives in the country. I’m innately curious about where people grew up, where they live now, what they do and how they found themselves there.

My work has most recently been published in Country Style magazine, Bush Journal and OAK magazine.

Although I had childhood dreams of becoming a 60 Minutes reporter, I discovered my love of print media while studying journalism.

After nomadic stints doing snow seasons here and overseas, working on European super-yachts, in fashion and beauty PR in Sydney and two years on a cattle station in the Kimberley, I’m now lucky enough to work and live ‘back home’ on my family’s beef and sheep farm - and work as a writer as the seasons allow.

Growing up in a house with an array of rural newspapers and magazines permanently stacked on the kitchen table, it’s little wonder my two worlds collided the way they did.

My childhood and current life in the country have made me a magnet to people with similar stories, however I hope that the stories I write will resonate with people from all around Australia, and that they will be as much of a joy to read as they are to write. I find it’s wonderful to have your own life’s experiences reflected back at you in what you’re reading, but it’s equally as wonderful to dive into somebody else’s life so totally different to your own.
